Let's say you have a flat fee case and you have a bill that you would like the client to pay, use the steps below to send your client a bill via LawPay. If you instead have an hourly case with a trust account you should follow the steps in How to Schedule a Payment.
How to Send a LawPay Invoice via Email
- Go to Billings>Invoicing
- Locate the bill in the invoices table. (Use filters if needed)
- Select Send Bill (via LawPay) from the actions dropdown
- Choose the Bank Account to deposit to (i.e. Firm Operating Account)
- Check off share options (Email)
- Select from the default messages or compose a message that will be included
- Save to send the bill to your client
- Visit the Billing>Invoices page later to confirm that the payment processes
